Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) at Curtin University in 1997 and has over 24 years experience in private practice.
Since the completion of his Podiatry degree Robert has since completed post-graduate units in Health Science and a range of courses in musculoskeletal training, specializing in foot mobilizations, dry needling and muscle energy techniques.
To assist him in his rehabilitation work with clients, he also completed the AFIT gym instructor course in 1995.
Robert’s scope in podiatry covers all aspects of podiatry having held several positions at different practices/sports clubs/orthotic laboratories over his career.
Positions previously held outside of private practice include:
- Consultant at an orthotic laboratory in manufacture and design.
- Lecturer at Curtin university in orthotic manufacture
- Consultant Podiatrist to the Perth Glory soccer club (9 years)
- Consultant Podiatrist to the Australian Men’s Hockey team and the Australian Institute of Sport (6 years)
- Board member/Director of Sports Medicine Australia (WA Branch) – 3 years
Robert’s interest in Podiatry lies strongly in the sporting podiatry field, but he also has a growing interest in Paediatrics and works closely with some of Perth’s leading Pediatricians/Rheumatologists.
Robert operates his private practices at Allsports and Family podiatry (Merriwa), AllSports & Family Physiotherapy Perth (West Leederville) and works closely with Doctors, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists, co-managing his patients problems for the best outcomes and applies his understanding of different professional techniques to his clients’ problems.
After work hours, he assists in beach patrols as a member of the North Cottesloe Surf Lifesaving Club. He enjoys middle distance running, has an interest in soccer which he played for many years, is involved in touch rugby, cricket and enjoys relaxing and playing guitar.
