RS Gait Scan

At AllSports and Family Podiatry we use RS Gait scan pressure mat to help diagnose difficult foot problems.

Your foot is in contact with the ground for about 0.8 of a second when walking and about 0.25 seconds when running. This is too tough for even the most experienced practitioner to see with the naked eye. Therefore, as you walk on the RS Gait Scan pressure plate, it will scan your foot at 500hz making use of 4096 pressure sensors. This creates measurable static and dynamic dimensions providing our Podiatrists with detailed data concerning the pressure of your feet.

The innovative software allows automatic departmentalisation of the foot into specific areas. This permits force and pressure distribution within these areas to be examined and associated with specific foot mechanics and functions.

Force and pressure distribution in all areas of the foot can be analysed in visual format allowing insight into force and pressure in both localized and basic locations under the foot during position phase and gait.

What does RS Gait Scan inform you?

There is a large amount of information that our podiatrist get when you have a foot scan.

By looking at the outcomes we can understand much better why an individual could be suffering frequent biomechanical injury. For example, Separated high or reduced pressure areas and a modified center of pressure line might be correlated to your issues.
